Can ARP rod bolts be reused?
Can ARP rod bolts be reused?
I want to open my engine coz my rod is damege (not straight), so i want to chang the rod and i want to know if i can reuse the old ARP rod boltswith the new rod ?
and if i can ,What is the best torque specs for that ?

Yes, ARP rod bolts can be reused. We don't reuse the stock bolts because they are designed to stretch when torqued to yield point. The ARP stuff is hardened and does not stretch, which is why we just use normal torque ratings.
I'm not sure on the torque figure, you may contact ARP on that one.

Nineball, I agree with you on the non-reuse of the stock GM rod bolts since they are TTY however the GM Helms manual says you can re-use them. I wouldn't, though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
