There are tons are cars running around my area running big duration cams with low lift and 02 LS6 springs. I have never heard of one problem with them. If you're running .540 or under, 02 LS6's are the way to go.

After doing many searches, what I seem to have found is that for a cam with moderate lift (around 0.530") the LS6 springs are sufficient. I also understand that with lifts above 0.550" aftermarket springs are needed.
My question: If I am using a moderate lift cam, am I better off with the Z06 springs. My MAIN concern is durability, not the fact that the LS6 springs are cheaper. I just don't want to have a failure!
Note: Car is used for road racing lapping days and sees two hours of constant 3000-6000 rpm per event (20-30 min sessions).
