ARE sells a good unit. Theirs is ported and has a stronger spring for higher oil pressure. Barry Dwyer should be able to help you out.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

In addition to the above, there's also the Katech pump, which you can get through Thunder Racing (at least the last time I checked) or you could contact Katech directly - http://www.katechengines.com . Cost should be ~ $110. Most places I've seen don't list the pumps on their websites so you'll have to call.

I recommend Katech as well as I believe they are the cheapest.

I bought mine (ARE) directly from ARE a while back when they had a GP... haven't installed it yet (still buying parts for the winter project) but from what i've read they're the best... I'm not sure about Katech, i've heard lots of praise about them, but for some reason I decided to go w/ARE

This thread has some good comments about oil pumps on it.

https://ls1tech.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...064;p=2#000038

Katech thinks the oil pressure is fine as is. If you raise the oil pressure your not protecting the engine any better, but you are wasting power. The volume of oil is really more critical than the pressure of oil delivered. Since Katech did the C5R and other development for GM, I tend to side with Katech over ARE about the way the oil pump should be set up.

BTW cold engines have higher oil pressure than warm engines...but we all know the engine has more protection with better oil flow at lower pressure and warm.

I think of extra pressure as being bad, just a little more likely to pump the sump dry.

Each to their own, but I went with Katech
