I ran a 232/226 XE-R lsa 110 with 0 advance. Only issue was hot starts.. All you had to do is wait 15 sec's and go. No other issues.. Car dyno'd 415rwhp/384rwtq. I think the tq would be higher if the cam had 4 degrees built in. If my peak rwhp would be lower I have no clue..

Hey vinve, were those numbers with stock heads? I don't think that ls1s really prefere one lsa or another. For a smoother power band higher lsa is better but will give up some average power to the lower lsa. The 230/224 111lsa cam seems to make quite a bit of power, 410 on stock heads and has managed to push a car to 11.2s at 121 on stock heads. Ofcourse, a blower car wants a higher lsa because of the incredible cylinder pressure generated by the blower. Lower lsa attempts to create higher cylinder pressure through the effects of scavaging (exhaust valve actually creating a suction effect when the intake valve opens and pulls more intake charge in). On a blower car the overlap will just bleed off cylinder pressure that is already there.

DailyAlum those TR230/224 #'s you posted are from Jason and he ran open headers and ls1edit.. Once he put the Y back on the numbers dropped.. My #'s are with my current heads thru cutouts and Ed Wright tuning for the T1 cam.. Jason has the dyno #'s for the run with the y-pipe..
