Anyone running a ARE 442 big bore?
I guess they really have the leaky sleeves worked out huh?
The Gold TA is at ARE right now and the motor is apart. The nitrous-fuel pump quit at Grand Bend, 1/2 track and it melted the head. The ROSS pistons and everything else is OK.
We also just took apart our Silver Z's motor apart yesterday (first time since it went together) and it looks mint! I think we have nailed the Big HP LS1's! The bearings still have the coating on them, no scuffs in the walls, sleeves still perfectly round...

Hey guys, ARE does build 442's. We actually have a 449 in the works right now for customer down south.

I was wondering why an ARE stroker would let go at 200 shot........

Good job on the motor building fella's!!
I see that on the block page it list a big bore, for use up to a 442. I wondered if they had actually built this for anyone yet? Or is the 432 the biggest?

Mine's not a 442 but a 436; it's a great motor!. Replaced an ARE H/C package that fell victim to a 918 spring failure (which is another story). Night and day difference: torque certainly makes driving fun.
Absolutely no mechanical problems with the engine. Only issue was tuning, which took some time (LS1 Edit)
