Ok, just wanted to throw this out & get some feedback. Please if your just gonna bash it or talk **** stay out of this thread. If you have something technical or informative to add, by all means please post.

Here we go.

Stock 99' short block w/95k on the clock
Stock 241 heads worked over by Bo White & milled .020 with thinner gaskets
Stock TB worked over by Bo White
Comp 918 springs
stock seats & retainers
Thunder Racing 7.4
Lucas 36# injectors
Harland Sharp modified stock rockers
LS7 lifters
Comp 224/224 .581/.581 114 cam
Lingenfelter Polished Aluminum intake port matched by Bo White
LS2 timing chain
Melling oil pump
ARP head bolts
clear MTI lid

I'm thinking this set up should be very street friendly & daily driver reliable but also put down a decent E.T. I'm hoping for 420rwhp thru the stock 10-bolt w/3.42 gears.

I dunno about 420HP through that but it does sound like a nice setup. Actually 420 is probably possible.

Sounds, good but my money wouldn't go to upgrade injectors at that hp level nor would I buy that intake. I think I'd just stick with a LS6 intake.

Well I already have the intake & injectors. I'm gonna see how the car acts & responds to this combo & if it'll take more I have a HSW dry nitrous kit to hit it with. So the larger injectors will be needed for that.

Yea, I was thinkin 420 on the high end. Not really lookin to amaze with dyno numbers. I should have a good steady power curve all thru the RPM's.

FYI, you could go with a larger cam and make a awesome power everywhere too. A proper head setup with a larger cam will give you great low end numbers and awesome upper end.

Yea, I'm not really worried about gettin really high numbers. I'm the type that would rather have my car idle near stock, have stock like street manners as far as driving in traffic & stuff, but still be modified. I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right or not.

I'm not hardcore into racing & definetly don't spend every weekend at the track. I drive my car everyday 50 miles round trip to work & back, plus its the family grocery getter, LOL.

I figure with this set-up it'll be near perfect for my goals for the car. Heck with a 9" & some tires it should go high 11's on motor, which is plenty fast for me & if I get a itch to go faster I'll have a button to push.

Maybe someday I'll get another f-body to build into a big cube big cam monster, but I want this car to last forever. I never plan to sell it & want a set-up thats not gonna be so radical it really pushes the envelope all the way. As long as it makes decent power & is fun for me to drive I'll be a very happy guy.

i dont know the heads you have but if they are good 420 is possible. i dont know anything about the intake either. as far as cam i dont think i would go much bigger without changing springs. i personally am not a fan of 918's and big cams. if you get a bigger cam get a set of springs that have more lift. most likely some sort of dual springs. comp 921, patriot gold, prc duals etc.

420 is possible with that setup, nothing wrong with your cam selection, although I'd choose a TR224 on a 112 lsa instead.

Well I already got the cam & got it for a really good price with the 918 springs. So I couldn't pass it up. The only things I have left to buy for the cam swap is the Melling oil pump & a gasket kit.

I'm gonna ride it around with the stock intake & stuff with only the cam put in for a little while. I'm not rich by no means so I'm gonna buy the heads & send them off along with the intake to get done after the cam is in or at least after I get my oil pump & gaskets.

Then when the heads come in all we gotta do is top end stuff & get my tuner to tweak it some for the new heads & intake. I figure I'll have it all done & buttoned up by August. I'm in no real hurry.
