430 rwhp
Thanks
Of course, the common stuff like headers, cat-back, lid, etc... will have to be done in addition to the cam. Don't forget 'puter tuning, as well.
If you're not willing to go to the LS6 heads, 430 on stock LS1 heads w/ out N2O or a huffer is a little unrealistic, IMO. 400 RWHP on stock LS1 heads with bolt-ons and a cam is MUCH more achievable if you pick the right cam.
Good luck.
Interesting. Weird choice, but I guess it could be done. Stroke it to 382 with a nasty cam and every bolt on and you could probably do it. I think some people have made 420rwhp with every trick and stock heads, but I'm not sure if those were stock LS1 or LS6 heads, and who knows how accurate that was. Stroker should add the difference though.
I think you'd be crazy to keep the stock heads though.
<strong>430-450rwhp on stock heads?

Just get a set of GTP stage 2s and a healthy cam and be done.

<strong>just curious, why keep the stock heads? There are so many companies, why not just buy s2 or 3 heads?

<strong>It would be much safer to freshen up the bottom end, although it has been done. I would be worried the bottom end would let go with over 400 HP on it. And I think you would deffinatly need to do a set of stage2 heads for your quest.

As set forth herein many times, you will definitely need to upgrade to a good breathing stage II heads and match aggressive cam to see 420rwhp. Go with a proven tuner and package, simliar to the one in the sig. set forth by BeardWs6 to get the goal you are after.
If $ is not a big problem for you, you may as well refreshen the bottom end and even look into putting arp rod bolts, as you will really have piece of mind about your bottom end holding up after extreme abuse for thousands of more miles.
Best of luck,
