I did this cam then I swapped my A4 to an M6. It runs 10x better on the M6 but I'm still on 3.23 gears from the auto, so 6th gear is truly wasted. If I'm not going over 65-70MPH then it bucks in 6th.

Other than that, this thing is a beast. I tuned it myself with HPTuners and even though I'm a complete novice with tuning, I got it running awesome. It was 8 degrees here the other day and it died off idle once, but I won't hold that against it. I had to play with the idle FOREVER with the automatic because it would die all the time. With the manual it's 99.9% better.

I haven't taken it to the track or dyno yet because I'm still tuning the AFR (just got my wideband and get can't the damn thing to work). But everyone is correct, from idle to ~3k it's not much better than stock, above that it's a freight train. Everyone knows the LS1 doesn't "feel" fast off idle, but when people look at the speedo they're amazed at how fast it is.

It sounds awesome at idle and with my electric cutout it sounds like a nascar.

I used 7.425 pushrods and measured and did the little color the top of the valve stem trick and turn the engine over and it was perfect.

Search in that forum only, for "Torquer V3" with the quotation marks around it and 36 different threads will come back. You should be able to find one in there with mods similar to yours.

I'm on a cam only 224r and thinking about going with the V3 with a set of heads.

I'd like to hear more about the V3. How does the power feel? How fast does the car feel? Anyone regret this cam being either too big or too small?

Why do people think "barely" breaking the 400 RWHP mark with this cam AND 2.5 5.3 heads is good?

When a damn BABY EPS cam has but down 430 RWHP through STOCK LS6 heads and intake, and ran the track times to back it up...

Baffles me

Torquer V3 with 2.5 ls6 heads. This is on a Mustang dyno and the stock clutch couldn't hold it. I've since changed the clutch but no new numbers yet, I'm guessing it would have been around 440rwhp before the FAST setup.

I shift around 6500-6600rpms, but it doesn't drop off at all. So you could go to 7k. Here's a graph from TSP of the V2 and V3 when the V3 first came out. You can see how much flatter the curve is with the V3.
