well i want to upgrade my 2002 z28 to be...well pretty much a zo6. Namely heads... how much more do they flow than ls1 heads?? Also this compression thing... factory ls6 heads will only raise compression a half point. in my lpe catalog they mention nothing about any chamber work...just cnc port and polished... any way if i cant get lpe heads with lower compression than 11.1-11.3 then where can i get bare ls6 castings ported?? also does anyone offer under cut, light weight ls6 valves??? I believe i would keep the stock ls6 springs as i would only get a little bigger cam, if not only a zo6 cam. lt headers are on there way.. and i think i'm going with spintech exhaust...but not sure!!!

LS6 heads flow around 40 cfm more than LS1 heads at the higher lifts(.550)They will raise compression around .4 of a point.
I'm having a set done now.With stock 01 LS1 valves they flowed 300cfm at .55 lift with minimul work.Waiting for the 2.02 valves to be cut in to finish them.

I thought LS1 Heads have a 10.3 compression ratio and the ZO6 has 10.5 compression ratio. Am I wrong? Do the LS1 pistons change the compression ratio?

LS1 is 10.1 to 1 compression ls6 is 10.5 to 1
pistons are the same between them.
