The news was telling us that gas would never fall below $2.00 a gallon again...EVER!. LOL, I paid $1.75 for gas this past December. Glad I held on to my F-body.

Hey, it's your ride...I'm just trying to put these short term gas hikes in perspective.

am i the only one here that sees where he says 24 miles a day, and thinks.... he probably means a 24 mile commute.. plus whatever else he drives.

yea, as your guys have proven with math....something is horribly wrong if hes spending $300 on gas and only going 24miles a day... and you've crucified him for it already

ever stop to think that maybe hes just driven more then that? lol.

two things:
1. I have a bigger cam than you on a heavier car than you, with the idle tuning way off, and with mixed city/highway I pull 20-22mpg...
2. yes we do have a limited oil supply...but you will be dead before its gone. estimates put it at around 2047 to peak out, then a slow decline after that. Somewhere after that time oil will start getting very expensive due to the limited supply, but there is at least a 50 year reserve available after reclamation (production) stops (somewhere in 2120). this all largely depending on what results you check and how you interpret them. if you live to see the end of that 50 year reserve, you have my undying respect

i dont even think that would do it...before I got tuned I was still pulling 19mpg, even with the car randomly unlocking. Theres gotta be something more wrong if your spending that much money on that little amount of driving...

Your 4.10's are killing you at the pump.

I get 34+ mpg on th eway in 6th at 80 mph due a Meziere EWP, ASP u/d Pully and a great tune by LG Motorsports. I drove my car home from there last year on just under 35 gallons. NO BS ! Filled up by the shop, and stopped in Illinois, then pulled into my driveway with a little left in the tank. I have a 2000 M6 FRC 480+ rwhp 454 rwtq that is amazing on the eway as far as MPG when the cruise is set. When I get on it she drinks like a dehydrated camel though. Change your gears and use the cruise control
