The Comp 921s are the recommended springs. Yes, the TRex fits in a STOCK LS1 engine. It is legit. Most of the really fast cam-only cars run the TRex cam. There was a lot of R&D that went into the development of it. The objective was to produce the most powerful cam that would fit in a LS1. Many grinds were tested each with several ICLs and after months of dyno testing... the TRex was born.
This cam has hit 450RWHP several times, but not every combination is that stout. It will take a lot of fine tuning and nailing of the small details to get to the 450rwhp range. Something a little bit south of that is probably a better goal to have in mind to avoid dissapointment.

Stick with the stock rocker arms, don't get the Harlands, but the other lighter roller rockers seem to be pretty decent, just not worth the money to me.
I run a TRex, it's a badass cam. Many people bad mouth this cam with no grounds either. Statements such as it not being drivable, or it doesn't make power with heads are just not true. Daily drove my TRex, sure, there are some sacrifices that were made. (4400 stall converter) But in a 6-speed it would be my second mod....after a rear end!
So TRex it up, and welcome to the world of a choppy idle, even at 1500-2000 you can hear it camin out!

The Rex can be tight on PTV but it should clear. I checked my PTV when I put mine in and ended up milling the heads and fly cutting. Couldn't be happier and I don't even have a tune yet... I went the PRC dual springs

I just finished installing a T-Rex cam package from TR. It will be with the stock heads, 6 speed, and 4.10s in the rear. I think it will be relatively streetable, as long as I can figure out what I'm gonna do for a tune.
450rwhp would be niiiice, but I doubt it.

i think i am deff gonna look forward to this cam. u just can not argue with 450rwhp on stock heads. it will be goin in an m6 with 4.10s. so you guys are sayin to cut the pistons or wat? i would hate to have any problems on down the road.
btw how does this cam respond to n20 i heard it does not like it to much any one wanna chime in on it?

doubtful that you hit 450 to the wheels, not to many T-rex owners have done this. I just replaced my T-rex with and F14 and did a heads swap, T-rex left eyebrows in all 8 pistons.

The cam is a monster, make sure you have the supporting mods such as the proper converter or Gears to keep the cam where it likes to be. One of the Best sounding cams i've ever heard.

Cam is definatly a monster, there is a reason why its hold down how many spots in the cam only list, BUT...for the thread started to reach 450RWHP with this cam he would have to replace pretty much every bolt on he has with the best of the best stuff and find a great tuner to put in hours and hours of work.

yeah this cam is a monster. a buddy of mine has one and his daughter gets scared when he starts it. i bet with all the supporting mods and this cam it wouldnt be to hard to hit 450rwhp but of course it will take a pretty penny to do so. oh and also what rear end did the car have when they dynoed it? maybe that could play a factor too

With a cam like this in a 346 it's going to be about maximizing the flow of air in and out of the motor. Just a small restriction in the intake tract can have have a huge effect on port velocity, same with a less than optimal header causing some reversion.
Take it to a competent tuner and it'll run besides if it run's the times who care what the dyno says.

And oh by the way, I am partial to the Rex. Everytime I start my car it sounds like it "wants to eat"...
