Nothing good can come from this....
I just changed my oil and discovered about 20 or more small, what appears to be needle bearings, that are just under a quarter inch long and smaller in diameter than a standard pencil lead stuck to the drain plug. Here is the kicker...the car runs like a scolded dog and purrs like a kitten.Anybody have any idea where they came from?

I really appreciate the help guys but I got another question.I have the valve covers off and there is nothing obviously wrong that I can see.Do I have have to take the rockers out and inspect them, or if the bearing has come apart there should be something I can see or feel with them installed?

It's been Documented many times that the needle bearings fail.

So there are no needle bearings in the roller lifters. But wouldn't I have found at least one or two bearings still setting in the head? Please do not trash me I am just trying to figure this out so I do not create excess work for myself. Thanks
