Help me pick a cam!
BM, the biggest, doesn't mean the best. Most of these forums are all the same. One or two good guys (like the few who have PM'd me) and the rest are bandwagon jumpers.
For further clarification, that's you.
As for the so called cam expert, I'm still waiting for him to explain his less CC's give less compression theory... or waiting for him to realize what motor I have.... And I still haven't seen a cam pick from him............
Yawn....
Sunova b*tch!!
he is right, pat is an idiot and a know it all know nothing, and everyone else on tech is dumber then the chair im sitting in.
QS, stay away from thunder, they suck, and stay away from comp cams, they suck as well.
matter of fact, you shoud just stay away from ls1tech as well, cuz it sucks.
And you'd think after reading my sig, especially the first line, that I know better.....
But claim after claim means that someone is doing it right. Its just not these guys and they're really, really pissed about it....
I had a bigger cam set-up at first(which was in the middle of the big cam rush) & got rid of it shortly after buyin it. Did about 7 months more research before settling on my current set-up that will be installed at the end of June. I talked to at least a half dozen vendors on here including people like Gunnar@Patriot for example.
I might not be runnin the most expensive heads or biggest cam, but I can guarentee you I'll hit at least 410-420 RWHP out of my baby cam & Bo White port/polished 5.3 heads. I could honestly care less about bein any bigger than anyone else. Thats why I bought a small cam. And if I was a bandwagon jumper I sure as hell wouldn't have sold my big cam set-up for a smaller one. I personally would rather have my power all through the RPM's & not only at 6k+ for only a brief moment. True there are alot of new guys that get caught up in tryin to compete with dyno numbers & all too often they regret it b/c of poor research & overall performance.
And your old school car runnin 10's has absolutely nothing to do with how these newer motor run & how much more important the matching of parts is. Sorry you can't tune these with a screw driver & the hood up.
If everyone here is so dumb then this thread should just be locked & you don't need to be a member here anymore. Simple as that. You have shown your not gonna take anyone's advice unless it agrees with what you have read in a magazine or already been told by 1 shop, so you know all you need to know.
No knowledge in the building other than a few PM's....
And if you're looking for people to ban, start with yourself and the language you've used.....
Then work your way right on down just about every bandwagon post here.....
Not many mirrors in the house of tiny, huh?

Bandwagon, LOL. I love how you throw the term around loosely. Truely showing your intelligence.
why ask if you already know the answer?
I do have a real question though, I see your heads have been flowed, but did you get the chamber cc'd specifically. I have an old set of 853 casting ported heads from A.R.E. from like 4-5 years ago. When I had them cc'd, the chamber was actually 71.4 cc's, so I wouldn't take "stock is always stock" to heart. Like I said, it was never mentioned if they were or not. That 5 cc's sure was suprising when I was working out my details on my engine

I know Mike Dez well, as do I know Tbyrne, and Pat at OSP............
And I know what they'll say.
