Default Oil Filter

I read on here once that people were using a longer k&n oil filter and six quarts of oil(tried search but couldn't find it). Is there anything wrong with doing this and what was the part # for the longer filter?

no issue at all the gm number was a pf59 but gm stopped making them . just cross that number with k&n for there number or look up a filter for a 99-02 5.3 pick up

I use a K&N oil filter #2006- it is the longer filter for the truck. My exhaust, and other parts hang lower so no worries by me.

ac delco at autozone should be PF46, it does the job no problems with it.
