I just ordered a set of these and was wondering if anyone here has tried them yet. I know they do an awesome job with the 5.3's and 5.7's, but I can't find any posts where someone here has tried their LS6 heads.

Well, I guess I will be the first one around here to try them. I was really hoping someone here had some experience with the TEA Stage II LS6 Heads. I'll be sure to post up results once I get them installed.

I havent heard of anyone running their LS6 porting work yet. However, their LS1 heads are producing 440 rwhp cars all over the country and running the ET's to back up the dyno #s so I dont see any reason why the LS6 heads won't rock the house. Good luck...

*generally* speaking, of course.... People with LS-6 cores or LS-6 core money are a little less worried about spending less on the porting job. MTI, GTP, etc, have done lots of LS6 cores because that historically is where people have gone when they have deeper pocketbooks. TEA and other recent porters have shown immense talent and as they get a solid reputation together, they will attract those people who have more money than time. In the meantime, they are offering some very very good deals and some really well done work. Go have an LS6 pair done and tell us the results...I think you'll be pleased.

Don't quote me on this - but I believe TEA LS6 heads are more geared for big cube motors. Again, I'm not 100% sure on that.
Also - I think it is along the lines of what someone else posted earlier. If you are going to spend the big bucks and go with LS6 heads, you probably are looking for every ounce of HP and most people think GTP or MTI are the best out there. Don't get me wrong, TEA does a great job and have a lot of track times to back them up.

We do have a cnc program for the 6.0 and LS6. We have a stage 2 which is good for stock cubes and then we have a stage 3 port for big cube motors. The stage 2 flows 300/255 just like all our stage 2's and the 3's are going to flow 330ish/285. Hope I've cleared up the questions. If not let me know.

I would think the LS6 which has a higher flow out of the box would get a little more flow for the S2 LS6 over any other head. So your CNC program is the same i guess no matter the casting? HMM.. then why go LS6 in the first place? maybe i am readingy our post wrong? My stage 2 GTP's flow 316 and 253 i think.. which are also port matched and combustion chamber CC matched... But i prefer hand finished over CNC.. as well GTP/ MTI have been doing this longer than anyone else in the LT1/ LSx market place ( with a name who are still around and running the numbers) ... wouldn't surprise me someone got smart and came up with a CNC program that mimicks their charactoristics which i would do myself if i had access to a CNC machine.. but i don't mind paying for their experience and years of dedication to the industry.. there is room for others but like many of us who have been modding these engines over the years not many guys are still with us... we don't need to name who is and why. Hope all works out for you.

The cnc program is not the same for the 6.0 and ls6 as the 5.3 and 5.7. We just choose to not hog the port out, we stayed very small with the stg 2's we can get more flow, obviously with the 330+ on the stage 3. If you have gtp stage 2's that flow 315 they just opened them up more than we open our stage 2 up. But for the most part I would not recommend a 6.0 or LS6 unless your building a stroker motor. It is much cheaper and easier to use a 5.3 head to make the same power as the 6.0 & LS6 heads.
