Default What cam to use?

I want a cam that will make my camaro idle like stock, yet give it a lot of power. I am thinking about buying the lingenfelter "LS1 GT2-3- SBC 350-383 207/220 .573/.580 w 1.7 rocker 117.5 CL $429.95"(http://www.lingenfelter.com/lingenfe...mp;pf%5Fid=102). I don't know much about camshafts. Is this a good choice or should I with a different cam, perhaps the "Old Man Cam"? Please give me your input on what you think about this cam as well as other cams I should consider.

Also, I was wondering if anyone has done anything useful with the red LED light on the dash. (Perhaps made it into a stealth shift light or radar detector.)

I really don t care too much about drivability so my cam experience wont help you out much I currently am running a C1 (idles great) and thinking about upgrading to a X1 or maybe a G5X2 but to answer your second question, relax it takes more that an hour and forty one mins for people to respond so go to the top of the screen and use the search function you can pull up some info that has been said in the past about the cam you are considering that might help you out

Thanks for the help. I did a search and it did help, but I would like to have found more people who have or who once had this cam and liked it. I don't want to spend $429.95 and find out later that there is a cam that would work better for me. I want to find other people out there who have set their car up the way I want mine and get their opinions. I know there is a cam made by Thunder Racing that is supposed to be a good old man cam, and I want to get opinions on if I should get the 'TR OLD MAN CAM' or the GT2-3. (After all both of these are old man cams, right??) Unless anyone changes my mind I will get the GT2-3. I just want to find some people who can confirm what I believe about this cam.

bdawg, thanks for the offer, but I want the new version of the GT2 cam. I believe it will give me more power than the older version of this cam (which is what I believe you have).

Anything in the 220's for a duration will probably have some lope to it..

I was running a 214/218 .540/.550 114lsa cam for a while, that idles like stock in the 346, now I will be putting it into my 372...
