Default Anyone have problems with their LS7 lifters?

Well I decided to buy LS7 lifters to replace the old ones which only had 42K mi. on them but just wanted to replaced them to be on the safe side. Anyway I ordered some from SDPC and when I received them they had nicks, scratches, and they looked worse than the ones that were pulled out of my car. Well I sent those back and they said that they looked perfectly fine and had another set and said that they look the same. I just curious if any had this kind of issues?

Default SDPC LS7 Lifters

I got tired of waiting forr the Caddy lifters and got a set of LS7 lifters.

They looked fine. No scratches or chips.

Are the LS7 lifters better than the stock LS1 lifters?

Are they a direct replacement?

I finally got my Caddy lifters and they were a bit scratched up too. There were a few scratches/dents that I could feel with my fingernail. I lightly dremeled them and they should be fine now. The box that they came in from GM was broken open so it could have happened i shipping. I also got my lifters from SDPC. The packaging was horrible in my opinion.

they will come with SOME surface scratches...what you dont want are gouges..deep deep cuts...big difference...mine had small hairline surface scratches, you can run em, you'll be fine...I spin mine to 7k all the time: Soak em in oil a bit first before install so they are ready to go when you fire her up

In the picture above... you are holding what in the link below they say is a stock lifter and not a LS7 lifter.... Which is right?

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ght=ls7+lifter

The link shows you the Caddy lifters which are different. The one in the picture above is the LS7 (Stock) lifters. I ordered these from SDPC and they come in this type of packaging.
