Well, I'm in that boat right now. Ditching the 232/234 with 9* overlap for a Stealth cam of my own design. I'm sure I will be within 10/15 rwhp of the other.

Still keeping the 12:1 Compression and 8.6 DCR with a:

224/232 .609/.595 119+2 LSA (XFI/XE-R) custom grind

At -14 * overlap this baby will be quiet

The trick here is Combo. If your overall combo is maximized (ie: matched components) you can make very good power from Stealth without all the side effects of high end drag cams, and with a bit of weight reduction in the right places, compete against standard non optimized big cams.

I went with the loud and mean (sounding) approach...it certainly isn't fast, but people are kinda nervous when they pull up next to me anyways. The cops have never given me a hard time about it (because I don't drive like an ***), and if anything, it has kept me out of trouble because people don't usually want to race me. Not good if you like to street race, but I like my insurance rates just the way they are.

just put an aps tt kit on with the stock catback....then put a cutout in for when u hit the track. no one will know what hit them until u walk away from them.

The C6 is minor tuning, some bolt ons.

This is for the Z28, I only drove it a dozen times last year, 8 to the track included and I miss it.

The only thing I'm changing is the cam and the gears in the back. I'll just up the nitrous another 50 shot to make up for the cam and I'll add tubular everything up front for weight reduction.

BTW the 232/234 setup only got me .4 seconds better than my optimized 224/220 stealth I used to run before that (N/A), so I can equal this year's performance with my cam in there. 12.0:1 SCR and juice are a lethal combo on 370 cubes.

It is your car do what would make youtha most happy. I voted for loud and mean. there is probably medium between stealth and loud as hell. I wouldnt sacrafice power for anything though. I know i have avoided more street races because of my loud set up and i kinda like that fact that it is very intemadating. keeps that posers away.
