So low and behold i got my cam kit from vengeance racing today, gonna be installing it on the weekend just a couple of questions.

1) I am going to remove the egr from the intake manifold and was just wondering what the best way to plug the intake off is.

2) This is a list of all the parts i have, am i missing anything???

Cam
Springs
Retainers
Pushrods
Coolant
Oil
Water Pump Gaskets
Front cover gasket
New Plugs and Wires

Thanks For any help, did a search, but it was down.

+1 on the LS2 chain. You can get one from SDPC2000.com for under $30.
You will also need a longer balancer bolt and a new balancer bolt, and also a front seal. The new balancer bolt is dirt cheap, most of the sponsors sell them, if not let us know and we can locate one.

Longer bolt can be picked up at a hardware store or a fastner store: M16 x 2.0 Pitch x 120mm long. Thats the longer bolt. $4 or so... maybe... probably less. MUST HAVE ITEM!!! Dont strip the threads out of the crank by trying to put the harmonic balancer back on with the stock bolt!

Front main seal is a good idea too, just tap the old one out of the timing cover and lightly tap the new one it. They tell you all about that in the LS1howto.com article.

AIR and EGR blockoff plates can be had from LS1Speed for $12 or $13. All you'll need then is a tune or a tuner to kill the SES light from that part of the surgery.

You might as well throw an oil pump in there too. SDPC sells the LS6 oil pump for like $50 or $60 bucks. It comes with the pickup tube too.

best thing to use to plug off the EGR hole on the intake manifold is an expandable rubber freeze plug from Autozone. I think you need the one that is 1 3/4". It has a nut on the top that you tighten and it expands the rubber bushing to make a seal.

1 3/8 on the freeze plug, the 1 3/4 is way to big. now they make one that goes from 1 3/8 to 1 3/4 that is perfect if you can find it.

I just bought the expandable rubber freeze plug and it was 1" 3/8 - 1" 1/2. I put a socket over the nut and slowly tapped it down until the plug went all the way flush and it works great. Thanks for the advice GR33N GoblinM6
