Bud, try to read the whole thread. Even the original poster says I know what he's wanting because we talked in person. So try to focus on helping him instead of arguing. Mmmmkay?

SRP in Blue Ash Ohio makes a custom cam they call the "400 Cam". It's 224/228 with .591 Lift both intake and exhaust. It sounds unbelievable and pulls like a pulls like a bitch to well over 120MPH. In my car the power comes out at around 2000 RPM's and its there well into 6 grand. It's large but still very good for a daily driver. I'm not sure about the price of it cause it was in my car when I bought it. If your interested send me a PM and I can give you there number.

Dude, understand. The cam he has is a turd. Plain and simple, it sucks. Just about anything will be an improvement. And yes, with it having no ***** anyway, adding a proven cam that's slightly bigger but with more advance ground in will certainly keep it drivable and add power throughout the powerband. So drop the holier-than-thou attitude. There's enough wannabe know-it-alls on here. You don't have to be another one. Just act like a decent human being, okay?

What about Patrick G's cam the Donkey Dick cam? Would I have any problems running it in my car? I mean the car is just a toy anymore, but would I run in to more problems trying to run this cam then I would the G5X3? My biggest thing is I don't want to have to spend a bunch more to run this big lift cam.

Why not just go with your buddies setup? You seem to like it awful well. If were misleading you, then why are you still posting on this thread? The only thing that most of us know is what you've posted in this thread. We've not talked to you in person. You'd get more help if you did'nt argue with people that make suggestions. Does'nt mean that you have to do what they say; but maybe someone will suggest something of interest to you. Good luck with your came swap!

He has ported heads: +40 rwhp
He has 1 point higher in compression: +15-20 rwtq (torque down low)
He has 4.10 gears: That's 20% more torque multiplication
Add those items to the cam you have and your car will feel very zippy and torquey. Add your buddy's cam to your car with your mods and it's going to only be a small improvement.

Get you a nice set of good flowing heads, fly cut if its needed and then get a good tune, and i think you will see a big difference with that.

Dude, stop arguing with the people that are telling you what you need to know. You CAN NOT compare his cam to yours when he has better heads/higher compression/gears. Or course his car drives better than yours, it's complete and yours isn't. Change the heads and gears and you will be right up there with him. If you put in a bigger cam without upgrading everything else like he has, you will be ever farther away from what you are looking for than you already are. You WILL lose drivability if you get a bigger cam, period. His car drives better becaue he has more mods done, not because of his cam.

Our cars are identical other than Heads, and the cam. I have been wanting heads since I got the cam, but now that I see that his car drives better than mine and has a bigger cam why not see what else is out there. Everybody says the same thing about the G5X3 cam.

Ported heads with higher compression like your buddy's will make the G5X3 seem tamer and snappier than it would be with stock compression. Trust me when I tell you that it's not just the cam. You will be amazed as to how much difference a raise in dynamic compression will improve how a car drives. Granted, the X3 has 4 degrees of advance vs. your T2 at +2, but in reality, the intake valve closing points between your cam and his is not that big and your cam has lots less overlap. Less overlap is going to drive nicer all things being equal.
But since all things are not equal, you need to give your buddy props for having some badass heads!
