Default what oil pump is best?

i'm deciding on which oil pump to go with, should i go w/ the melling or the slp? any opinions? i've always been a lil iffy about slp products.. please let me know.

Just go with an LS6 pump. They can't be beat for the price.

What all is done to the car? If its still the stock block with a H/C set-up, i would go with a Ported LS6. As mentioned above, they are great, especially for the price.

You can get a Melling for about the same price. Thats what I'm doin. Give Matt@SDPC a shout. He can hook you up.

I just went with a standard ls6 pump when I did my swap and never had any problems with it.

If you are going to cam it I would go with a ported LS6 oil pump from texas-speed.com

I went with the SLP pump and their double roller chain. I hear you dont have to use the spacer plates for the double roller if you have the SLP pump as its pre-clearenced. Thats what made me go with teh matching SLP pump and double roller chain.

yeah go with tsp's ls6 ported one. only a few bucks more for the ported one
