Default What kind of power would this combo make?

What kind of power would a tr224/224 112lsa cam and ported 243's make, with all the supporting mods of course...? Just lookin for a rough estimate..

Maybe some 1/4 mile or Dyno numbers from someone who has this or something similar to this..?

I'm kinda wondering if anyone has some actual #'s from the combo I asked.

Tr224/ported 243's/bolt-ons.

You guys that are posting have bigger cams...but I appreciate the input

I am trying to get 400+ rwhp with bolt-ons and a small cam/heads package.

I have a bigger cam too, but I have seen plenty of setups like your asking about and the posts above are correct.

My car is full bolt-ons with the TR224/224 112LSA cam. I am still running the stock heads. My dyno #'s are 375/375 at the wheels. The same setup with a set of ported heads will gain you another ~45rwhp (420rwhp).

I have the TR224/224 112 and with ported heads, mac headers, and 3.73s I put down 427/401. NOTE: I don't have an underdrive pulley or ported throttle body, so with the addition of those I would have put down somewhere around 435 hp. I've since switched to qtp longtubes so I should be around 435/410 or so right now. I plan on doing an underdrive pulley and ported throttle body to see if I can be right around 450 with a very mild setup.

The before was with a lunati 216 cam and very mild ported heads.

The heads that will gain you 45rwhp are not the ported 243's. They are the aftermarket casted higher flowing heads. The ported 243's are GREAT for the price, don't get me wrong, but they are NOT going to put down the same numbers AFR and TFS etc are going to.

Ported 243's are going to get you about another 30rwhp over stockers. The small cam and ported 243's with an LS6 intake should put down about 410-415 on a dyno-jet, about 390 on a mustang dyno through an M6.

But dyno's just give you an idea of where you're at, you should always keep testing on the same dyno. No 2 dyno's are going to read the same, and a dyno-jet is going to read 20-40hp HIGHER than a mustang dyno (which I believe to be more accurate). Some dyno's are friendlier than others, some are stingy.

I know people who have gained 30rwhp by switching dyno's! But.. whatever makes you feel good I guess.
