My buddy just sent me this today, some interesting if you got some spare time. Also, this is one of the first guys I've seen bash on Amsoil.

Amsoil 5-30, but switching to Amsoil 0-30, btw Amsoil quieted my car down substantially and would not trade it for anything else. Valvetrain noise is almost completely gone now. Also in that article he wasnt bagging on amsoil he was bagging on the extended drain intervals. "Amsoil is a very good oil, but no matter how good any oil is, your engine is still going to produce contaminants and by-products, and the longer they are in your engine the more damage being done." I change mine every 2k-3k miles, so using this guys same logic more additives + less service time mean better for your engine?

I also use Amsoil, I just thought it was interesting since I never really hear anybody praise Amsoil. I had similar results to yours when I switch to Amsoil from Mobil 1, and it got rid of my oil consumption. The results also got my friend to switch from Royal Purple to Amsoil 5.0
