I had my heads milled to 61cc during a Texas Speed group purchase at no additional cost. Just talk to Jason, he may be able to hook you up too

Default best bang for the buck cylinder heads

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...8&page=2&pp=20

The general consensus seems to be that there are many budget cylinder heads that are great:

-TSP/PRC
-Patriot
-TEA
-Dart
-Livernois

AFR and ETP seem to be for those on less of a budget.

Default ls7 lifters - yes or no?

Should I go with LS7 lifters? I saw a brand new set of 16 on eBay for about $160/shipped. Is replacing the lifters recommended on a car with 57,000 miles?

Buddy just finished build stock bottom end, full bolt-ons, electric waterpump, fast 90/90, underdrive, TSP PRC 5.3stg 2.5, and G5X3 cam 491rwhp. This car pulls freaking amazing in the top end. They did have to fly cut even though it says the G5X3 specs will clear, they won't.
Same car on 100 shot went 10.91 at 131mph in Noble, then kicked out because of no cage
I have the same heads w/ .040 cometics, w/ 228/228 .588/.588 cam, stock ls1 intake, TB, and internals, only exhaust, lid, MAF. streetability is great, no surging, i can thank most of that to a good tune. No dyno yet but testing it against other cars somewhere about 405-410rwhp.

Yes I've heard that their customer service is excellent. No problems with the 3" true duals I purchased from them. When something damaged one of the pipes I could even order replacement parts from them.

Default fuel pump

May go with a Racetronix fuel pump and wiring harness for $225 instead of the Wlabro 255lph fuel pump. Any opinions?

I would put the new 2.5 5.3l cylinder heads up against ANY stock casting cylinder heads on the market! I could tell you guys several stories where customers have replaced the stage 2.5 cylinder heads with aftermarket casting big money cylinder heads for next to no hp gains!

With our complete cnc porting & cnc valve job process our cylinder heads are one of the most consistant cylinder heads available! It's no wonder the PRC cylinder heads consitantly kick the crap out of the competitors stock castings, PRC uses the same cnc porting machines & cnc valve job machines as AFR uses but in a cylinder head costing half the money!

Our cnc process gives us the ability to keep valve jobs identical within .0004" and reproduce each port consistantly with virtually no runout!

Racetronix sales the walbro pump with their harness...just bought my harness and GSS340M (GN Pump), which is the 255lph pump, last week. If you check their website you will see that they use Walbro pumps.

I'll be calling you guys this coming week about my heads/cam buildup.

Yes, the Racetronix is an upgraded/modified Walbro:

The Racetronix F-LS1 pump assembly is based on Walbro gerotor pump technology utilizing the most powerful armature and gear set currently available. Walbro has set the industry standard in high-performance in-tank pumps. Walbro pumps are QS9000 certified and are used as OE equipment in many production performance vehicles such as the C5 Corvette. Walbro's gerotor design is able to maintain high pressures while providing high volumes as well. This is done by squeezing the fuel out between two gears instead of pushing it like most factory vane pumps do. (i.e. factory F-LS1 pump). This positive displacement design makes high-performance Walbro pumps small, light weight, quiet, efficient and reliable. Tests in the field have proven the Racetronix F99+ system will support upwards of 600RWHP and 700RWTQ in some applications.

Default clutch

Should I go with an LS7 clutch to handle this kind of power or should I opt for a Spec Stage 3? If neither, please specify your recommendation.

I have a spec III.
I don't know how it will do with my new setup.
It was fine with the 5.7.
