[Video] 388 big bore at idle I saw the 383 stroker video and so I thought I'd post a video of my 388 big bore for comparison. This was done with open headers thru Grot 1 7/8 long tube headers. Tony's 388 Be sure to right click and "save as." Enjoy.

Re: [Video] 388 big bore at idle Bear, the 240/240 will behave great in the car. You can really start to go bigger with a cam when you have more cubes. In fact, I even think my cam is too small, I may go even bigger with a hydrualic or go the full nine yards and do a solid roller setup.

Call me old, but I think the MTI X1 on a 114 (230/227) through a full exhaust will make me very happy in the all-bore 388 MTI is building me. The 4" mufflex and 1 3/4 grotts will be more than loud enough. Im even thinking about a pair of those minute bullet cats to quiet it down more. Im sure the cam wont make the power you guys are making... but 2-3000 rpm torque is probably the most fun I have. One problem with living in the city is I have no idea where I could stretch out 5-6000 rpm and not have the cops coming from miles around, other than the road track.
You are going to have to think about a roll-bar and some safety goodies on that car if you want to run it much at the track.
