I've got a Vig 2800, which I guess is a 3200 stall.. Lookin' at going heads/cam.. My T/A is not my "true" daily driver.. I have another car I drive to work, etc but I want the T/A to be very streetable..

thru my M6 and a 12 bolt/steel driveshaft my eastside 224/228 cam made 403 rwhp. Spec 4I clutch with steel flywheel, and I had a lid, pulley, bellow, catted qtp y and a set of the non hvme qtp 1 3/4 headers, and a LM. With the 4.10 gear the car drove very well, hell I could drive it anywhere I wanted and it was fine. I was runnign a set ot Ti retainers and a set of comp 918 springs.
If you are looking for a solid 400 rw and are going to put heads on as well, you don't need any more cam then what I was runnign hell you probably can get away with even less.
IMO, the drivability on a 224ish cam is very good, I had zero issues with stalling, idle surge or any of that. When it was really cold out I'd have ot give it a little gas for the first couple min, but that was it. Not a big deal, you need to set some heat get into the springs before you start driving anyway, so it was a total non issue.

I made 400rwhp and 375rwtq with a TSP 228R cam and stock heads. Car also has a Yank 3600 stall converter and the stock 3.23 gears. Very streetable, car was my daily driver up until recently.

63k Miles
Stock LS1 Internals
Pacesetter Coated LTs w/ ORY
Hooker 3" Catback
SLP Lid
Motive 4.10 Rear-End
Cost of the total project all accessories included?

i never understood why people are always worried about hp numbers... there are 224 cams running the 11's with stock heads and the driveability is so much better. look around b/c there was a thread i saw a few days and it had this topic in there

I can agree with the big stall on an auto car and be easily daily driven. My car just dynoed 393rwhp yesterday on stock sh*tty *** perimeter bolt heads. You will be fine.
