Default M6 guys with cams...where do you set your idle at?

There's something to be said for a car loping at idle, it's the whole reason why I got a cam and all the other stuff to begin with. My idle currently is at 850, but that still sounds a little too high for me...how low can you set it before it starts causing problems?

I forgot to mention...mine's set at 850 now. I guess 650 might be too low?

That 224 isn't gonna have a super hard lope. And you'll really hurt low-speed drivability if you turn your idle down too low. It'll be a total pain in the butt to drive when driving in parking lots.

Desired Airflow and timing are all important.

My idle is set at 800, its open loop so I dont have any fueling issues being so low. I run about 26 - 28* of timing. I have no surging or stalling.

850, almost no lope.

I could probably set it lower, but then I'd have to start over with tuning the idle. I DON'T want to do that.

just keep it where it is. It isn't worth the money. If you want it louder put a cutout in.

I don't know if it's the same on all f-bodies but I installed an autometer digital tach and it always reads 100rpm higher than the stock gauge cluster. So maybe you could lower it 100rpm

I also have a torquer v2 with the idle at about 1k. I also think it's a little high, but it makes it easier to drive around with the spec stage 3 clutch.
