Default Need help with H/C setup!!!

I'm going to be running a F14 normal lift, something like 234/234 .598/.598.... I'm also going to be running a 125 shot on top of all this... I found a set of tsp 2.5 ls6 heads that have been milled to make the compression 11:1, they also have the 2.04 1.57 valves... now here are some of my questions... is 11:1 compression to high for pump gas? and if it isn't will it be to high with the nitrous? Also are the 2.04 1.57 valves to big for my setup? I'm basically trying to get all the horses i can get out of the stock short block!!!! I was going to run a set of 5.3 heads that bumps the compression to 10.75, will that .25 hurt me more than help me? I know the higher the compression the better torque but what about detination with 91 pump gas?

Is 91 the highest you got there?? IMO, I think it would be fine. I run ~11.5.1 CR and pick up a few degrees of knock with 92.
I usually fill up my 6 gallon gas can with 100 octane here in town and just mix half and half to be safe on the spray. But, my car is not a DD.

also, if you are going to spray, dont forget to pull a few degrees of timing as well.

yeah i was thinking that to its my dd right now, but i have another car ready to take its place, just needs a drive side window!!! I just don't know any places that have race gas like or even a 100oct!!! Do what kind of set up do you have? cause i'll be happy with 11.90's without the nitrous, i'm pretty sure there aren't to many 11 sec cars running around here!!!

11:1 is fine on pump gas its what I run no troubles, we dont have 93 oct in Oregon either. I've got some Terminators for sale right now that would be nice as well. They are milled to 59cc(11:1) and also have the 1.60 exhaust valve. They also have the thicker deck to begin with. pm me if interested

do yourself a favor and do it right the first time... AFR 205 heads and mill them for maximum power. they are worth every penny.

FYI the FM14 is a 232/234 with choice of LSA
Be carefull what size chambers you get if you want this cam to fit.
I would get that cam on a 111+2
You can run it with a set of unmilled 243 stage 1 or 1.5
