Default TOrquer 2.. What heads?? Quick replies appreciated!

Hey all...
I ordered PRC 5.3 Liter 2.5 heads from Texas-speed. Im basically a cam only car right now with gears, full exhaust, and just some minor stuff.

I wanted to see whats going to make more power in the long run

PRC 2.5 220CC 5.3 L heads

PRC 2.5 205CC LS6 ported heads

or any other suggestions in the same price range?

The only problem is I already ordered the heads and they are processing my order. I have to decide quickly, so quick replies would be very very nice.

Thanks!

I am wondering the same thing, but leaning toward the stage 2.5 5.3L heads. Many people on the site seem to be putting down great numbers.

206 LS6 ported? They don't exist. The only benefit between the 2 is the 5.3 has a 1>1.5cc smaller chamber.
I prefer the LS6 (243 casting), but that is just me. For your application you can't go wrong either way.

My friend has that cam in an A4 with the prc ls6 heads with ls6 intake and put down 400rwhp tourque was around 360-370.I have the stage 2.5 5.3 l heads with a TR224 cam with a ported fast 90/90 and put down 417rwhp 407rwt in an A4. Iknow the pported fast just throws a loop in the comparison, but hope it helps you out.I though about going bigger to a T2,but dont want my tourque to drop.I dont know if the Tr224 cam gave me the tourque or if its the heads or ported fast,so I don t know what cam Ill put.I thought about the G5x1. Well i hope this helps you out

It is the cam, its VEs are right for midrange trq.
If you want more trq out of a TV2, then you need to optimize its compressions (SCR/DCR)
Also running a tight LSA helps in that department

The X1 will make more low>midrange trq and within 10rwhp of the TV2 (Depending on which LSA).

Might want to go custom:
227/230 .629/.600 112+4 LSA (custom grind comp cam), kinda like a G5X1 on steroids.

The custom cam I gave will make more undercurve power than both 5X1 and TV2.

Has better PTV as well and if those heads are with 2.02/1.57, you prolly can run a .045 gasket or .010 mill as well for even more compression.
