Default low end torque cam?

any suggestions on what cam would be good with my setup (mods in sig)? I want something that has huge low end torque gains over my stock cam and will keep that torque throughout the power band, but also want something that has good drivability since this will be my daily driver.

Oh and I might be getting some ported 853's or 241's to go with the setup if that makes much of a difference.

You have a decent size stall and 373's, so I dont think you need to keep the powerband all that low. Id go with a sizable cam to put the powerband where you want it up on the high end. Then when you do heads, mill for extra compression which will help bring out the torque. You dont have to go crazy with the cam, but I dont think you want the power to come on too early either.

Really, you have to decide what cam is right for you. Got any buddies with cammed cars locally? Go check out the drivability of them. I would think a good starting place is in the high 220's or low 230's. Rule of thumb for autos is to go with the 114 LSA and go with +4 advance ground in to bring the range down lower. Im very happy with my Torquer2 cam and I know a lot of the auto guys are as well. You can still make plenty of torque down low. My car made well over 300 rwtq at 3K rpm, yet screams up high all the way to 6700 before it begins to drop power.

I'm not wanting something that spins real high though. it's kind of high mileage (88k) so I don't want to spin it high and have a higher risk of breaking something

Whats your limit? 6500? Might limit your selection to the 220's. Have you considered the tried and true 224 cam?

FWIW, I have 112K miles with a 7K rev limiter. Although I have the revised rod bolts...

I think 6500 is probably about right. I have been leaning towards the tr224 but was looking for maybe some other suggestions. I am wanting drivability but do want it to sound pretty mean at idle.
