Default Head choices

I really don't want to throw a cam in my car. Standard bolt ons and a 100 shot are well enough for the goals I have set for my vehicle as far as power goes. I would like to throw a set of heads on the car as its not that difficult to swap a part like that out. So what would you guys suggest for the stock cam, intake, and full exhaust LS1 that I have. Budget oriented or the sky being the limit, stock cam though, one of the reasons for that is the simple fact that I don't want to dig into that part of my motor and I can accomplish my goals through other means.

[/ramble]

Heads only car, what do you suggest. Prefer the heads to be already assembled, so springs, rockers, anything else suggest away.

Are you sure about that? Its like changing a set of mac mids but removing the intake manifold and the heads as well.

Very sure. All you do is remove a few external parts and the timing cover is right there. Pull the cam out stab the new one in and your done. You dont have clean up or exhaust to deal with. Valve springs are easy.

Cleaning up the block and bolt holes are a pia. Plus you have the grounds on the back of the heads and plugs on the intake. Its more painful and a heck of a lot more cleanup work. IMO

I'm going to do mine tomorrow. Making room for the nose of the car in th garage right now. Then when my new head sget here I'll do them as well. Wont be so bad for me as I have ARP head studs but the cam swap will be quicker.

I would definately do a cam before heads. Plus I dont think you would see the full potential of the heads with the stock cam.

Cam hands down easier, cheaper and depending what grind you go with just as much power if not more. Like nobreaks254 said you wouldn't see the full potential of them not running in a cam. Very silly but if you have enough money do both. You will be happy with those results

Cam swap/Head swap, both about the same time wise.

I take it that you don't have to remove your rack and pinion like I do. I would rather do a head change myself, than a cam change.
