Default Another carb LSx question

Lookin to do a LSx carb conversion in my 95 Z28, maybe a 408. Are there any problems runnin this 408 with a carb and MSD box? i remember Timmy Tostos having issues with his, is the issues fixed or was there only issues with certain cranks available? any all info, pics greatly appreciated. thanks Jason

i had a carb intake on my asa cam 6.0,it had edelbrock ignition wich was not very tuneable,i sold it,bought a 6ls ignition for my new 404,it is programmable with software from msd, check it out on their website.i went with the 6ls rather than buying a dist kit because the 6ls does the same thing a digital 6 does for almost the same money.

G.M., you can buy a front cover straight from G.M. that uses the standard small/big block distributor. That is if you don't mind your Chevy having a front mounted distributor.

That is the route I am going with my 408. Even though it will look like a little ford under the hood it'll be different.

ok,but what drives the distributor? the cam?it would surely look like a ford with a carbed victor jr intake,it looks almost like the super victor for 351w.and the header port spacing is similar too.

The exaust port spacing is the same...you can use the same headers if you swap the flanges.

i remember someone was using the carb/msd box, and found out the starter was not spinning the engine fast enough to operate, but once they replaced the bat., it was ok
