worth putting a cam in a cat-back only 04 Z06?

I guess with 243 heads and z06 springs they could get away with something under a .55x lift without having to change the springs.
Really, if all she wants is little more power and lope, just get the GM Hotcam or even the ASA Cam, I think the ASA will work with the stock springs on a z06, I can't remember.
Either way that would be very cheap and easy, but don't even think about a .58x cam on z06 springs

So you've got a 224/228 for $200 and then the valve springs and other stuff for another 200? Sounds like a great deal! The cam will defiantely wake up the car even without headers and an intake... what is the size intake on the 04 z06 anyway? but what the other are saying is the cam wont reach its full potential without the supporting mods. But like you said who cares... it's her summer fun car not a race car trying to get every tenth of a second at the track... Sounds like a great deal, she should be very happy with it. Maybe throw on some LT's in the future to beef up the sound.

Oh yeah- add the cam! Just be aware that without all supporting mods you won't get every horsepower out of it, but big deal, it'll haul *** nevertheless.
