Default World Warhawk LS1X Heads *Pics*

Recieved my new heads for my new motor yesterday.
Warhawk LS1X 15° Aluminum LS1 Heads.
2.080" x 1.600" Valves
235cc intake runners
72cc chambers
Manley Severe Duty Valves
and 1.550" Dual 200# Seat Springs.
Set up for Solid Roller.

Were going to flow them how they came from World..
(in a week or 2)
and then flow them again with some mild porting....

Here are a couple pics i snapped today...

Now we can order Pistons...

I checked out the world products sight and I don't think they're six bolt heads. I just think the LS7X heads are. How high do you plan on spinning the motor with steel valves?

No there not the 6 bolt heads.... i still want to be able to race at the Race in Memphis in Oct and ya cant do that with the World 6 bolt stuff.
Were O-ringing the heads and going with copper gaskets.
The .750" thick deck should help some...

D,
THe old motor the stock crank was flexing.... i guess it didnt like 1K+ rwhp
So im going with a lil more cubes and a lil bigger Turbo...
I dont plan to spin the motor over 7400 tops.... no need to... its about valve control...

For better valve control......
A more extreme ramp rate then a Hydraulic set-up could give me..
Plan to run around .691 lift or so...
And down the road if i need to we can spin the motor higher....

I dont understand why you would base your setup over 1 race? while with the right builder 4 bolts should work fine for your setup, theres no way in hell i would choose them over a 6 bold design..What block are you running? I guess it doesn't matter if your not going with the warhawk...

BTW: I'm not trying to be negitive here..Your car is very nice and the boys over at stenod are a great group of guys..I'm saying this cause i bought a set of 7.5k allpro heads and went with a stock valve angle so i could run in the ls1tech series which is now non existant ..Looking back on i should have just built the car how i wanted it, instead of worrying about 2 events out of the year...

I totally see what your saying.

Im not just building it for that race and i REALLY dont think ill be done in time..

I really dont care about it or even pushing a set-up to its max anymore....

Its the same Iron Block i had before. ARP 12 Point studs with the above Heads O-ringed and the block with copper gaskets.

We were just looking to refresh the short-block after i had blown a head gasket pushing 26 psi last time out.
Found that the stock crank had been flexing so i replaced it with a forged one.
Reusing the same Rods, new Pistons, the above new heads with a thicker deck...
Alot of the Machining is done no $$ out of my Pocket...

The above heads were only about $4-500 cheaper then the 6 Bolt Heads, but the $4400 for the Warhawk Block, + the other $800 for parts needed to make the block work wasnt on my list. Like i said i dont care enough about it.
Then back to the LSX Block.
The $2200 for the block is cheaper yes.
But $3500 for ETP 6 Bolt heads isnt.
It all just snow ***** from there.....
If your gunna do that you might as well do a Dry sump set-up and there another $4K.
So your cheap build just became another $15K
Im just freshining up my motor and ill prob push around 22 psi spinning the motor to 7200 rpm's max and just work on my 60'
What ET She runs is what she does.

Yes with the right builder.... (My Current Engine Builder builds all kinds of Motor's and i have extreme faith and confidents in him and his skills to build a Boosted motor.
2600HP in his current SBC Motor speaks for its self.....
If it cant be done with what i currently have ill Prob ditch the LS1 all togeather.

I hope ya see what im saying.
With a New Wife and a bay due in Sept this will prob take the back seat anyways.

I just want to make the car reliable to a certain degree and just run the Car Like KP has been doing.
If not ill back the power down and just enjoy racing the car at local tracks.
I dont want to get bumbed out all togeather and sell the damn car..
