ARE is a good place to start. they have complete packages. if this is a street motor, don't waste your money.

A dry sump is really on good for 8000+ RPM or serious road racing. Shoot me a PM and I can help you out with everything you will need for your application if you need one.

The C6-ZO6 dosent use a true dry sump system, but it still gets the job done well enough.

An aftermarket dry sump system is a little more complicated and requires you to loose your a/c in order to use the scavenge pump. By the time your done youll easily be 3000 dollars lighter.

The Z was designed for high G force cornering ... and with the stock sorry assed goodyear run flats it will do 1.05G on a skid pad..Jeff Gorgon was doing some hot laps up at road atlanta and pulling 1.27 G in some corners..with real tires the car will do much beter than that .. no oil starvation with that system..unless you are going to a road racing track no use in spending the money..

Aviaid offers complete bolt-in kits in many stages for this. They aren't a sponsor so you will have to Google them.

You only need this if you are road racing with a car that pulls high g's. It will as mentioned cost some serious $$$'s.

A much cheaper solution is to run an Accusump system.

Most just run 7 quarts of oil in the Fbody pan so solve any oil pickup starvation problems.

accusump is the poor man's dry sump!

its an oil accumulator. basically the engine oil pump pressurizes a large cylinder with oil, then once its full it bypasses the cylinder and fills the engine normally. if there is a hiccup in oil delivery from the pump, to the engine, the accusump uses its "stored" oil to keep pressure in the engine.

dry sumps and accusumps are for road racing, they are completely pointless on a street car. why do you want one so bad?

yea but a true dry sump costs thousands of dollars. so if he doesnt need it, why waste the money? most people cant really say they have thousands of dollars to waste. if they do, i take donations for tires

Agree, point him in the correct direction and let him decide if it's right for him. If you haven't already, take a look at aviaid dot com.

The main differences between your standard dry sump and the LS7 system is that the LS7 sytem does not use external, belt driven pumps, and does generate significant crankcase vacuum.

call up Jason at Katech Engineering... if you have "lots of money", Katech is the only company i would be talking to. They build the C6R motor's, and tons of road racing motors for other companies.
