Default 918 Valve Spring -update

Is there anything new to report on these valve springs? A friend has these and is considering a swap out into something else.

Has your friend looked in to Pac springs? They made the original 918's(the ones that don't suck) for Comp. They aren't priced too bad either, unless you go for the nitrided ones that are good for .650 lift and run $326 a set, but the .600 lift capable springs are $183.71 a set, part number 1218-16.

Swap to PAC-1218 or PAC-1518.

PAC-1518 is nitrided and nano-peened. It can handle .650 lift instead of the normal .600 lift that the 1218/918 are rated too.

PAC-Springs or use PSI's LS1511 beehives.
