Car Died Out And Will Not Run!! Help! Ok well today on the way to one of my buddies houses, i got on the gas up to about 4500rpms when all of a sudden a hear a semi loud bang..The car dies out almost immediatly and does not start again.....I had one of my neighbors come take a look at it and he said something about a oil sender?? I think thats what it was..If the oil sender went out would it cause the car to shut off and not be able to start up???..There was a little bit of oil on the ground where i finally stopped the car but nothing excessive..There were no signs of a knock or anything..The motor will still turn over and there are no strange noises coming from the engine bay...Oil pressure is @ 0 BTW..And the oil seems to only be on the passenger side of the car..Although no oil in the engine bay..Any thoughts guys???

You will get oil pressure with the motor just cranking. Pull your fuel pump fuse and try it some time.

Try to turn the motor over by hand you SHOULD be able to do it on your own. Pull some of your plugs out or all and see what you find. If you can get them all out try turning it over by hand it might give you an idea if somthing is seized up

Pull a valve cover off and turn it over by hand. Does the valvetrain move?
