Well I can speak for my buddy with a M6, he has been running his 10bolt for a think 2 years now with the MS3/prc 2.5's and still running strong. He has made a few trips to the track too. Before the engine was forged for nitrous 2 years ago with the H/C he ran 15 or more bottles of nitrous through it too. Hot lapping it, run after run. He isn't spraying with his current setup though until he gets a 9", he knows thats asking for it. Lucky, yes I think so. The next guy will pop the damb stocker with bolt on's, what the hell, LOL

No problemes here. 130k miles on stock 10 bolt w/ 2.73's. I think I read one time that the 2.73's are stronger than 3.23 or 3.73. Maybe because of a thicker ring gear? No track use but some racing from a role and rarley from a stop. I am on street tires so I think they are a weaker link. I only have basic rearend knowledge so take it for what it's worth.

Stock M6 10 bolt with 3.42's putting 500 to the ground, but on street tires. No traction in the first couple gears is the key to longevity.

vinci crane 66 cam full boltons tune 4k loose stall e/t streets
1.7 sixty foot leaving on a 75 shot.....goin back next month to make a 150 pass with some better weather and tuning....

oh its the stock 10 bolt with motive 373s/auburn posi/moser axles/and a richmond master bearing kit.....

the key to not busting a rear is preload....its possible in an m6 car to preload as well just takes practice....ive seen a turbo ta go high 10s on the bonestock 10 bolt......

A4's are much kinder to the 10 bolt with preload, than a M6, especially in driveline shock on a drag strip...

I'm still running a 10 bolt. 60' times 1.52-1.54 average. Eaton Posi, stock axles, welded axle tubes, T/A girdle. I stripped an axle in May, other than that I haven't had any problems.
