Default ls4 oil pump

i did a search couldnt really find anything recent on these bad boys, but anybody been running one and not had any problems with it, i have a 00 ta getting really to do a head and cam swap already have the pump got it a while back, just wanted to see some follow ups. i run 7 quarts of oil and will be running a mechanical gauge. thanx

Why would you run 7 quarts of oil?? Do you have a bigger pan? Stock pan holds 5.5 quarts......

stock oiling system holds 6.5 quarts with filter i run the bigger truck filter so i run 7 quarts

factor in slosh and stuff and it makes sense for safety.

I use 6 quarts. I think its a good amount and I dont have left over half quarts.

i use 5.5 and save the half quart for when i'm low...
