I dont think your gonna have any problems the ls6 cam has 550 lift and im pretty sure those springs are good for 580 lift......you wont break a spring....

I think the ls6 springs will last longer and be more reliable. .556 is not bad considering I have seen several ppl running .580 with them and not have a problem. Some companies even use them in their cam packages that are higher than my .556 so I guess Ill take my chances.

Hey thanks 5_02ls1. Makes me a little more comfortable doing it now. I was going to get a set of 918's but I have heard all kinds of stories and When I start my car up, I just want to drive it. I dont want to worry about waiting for it to warm up so the brittle valves dont break. If I have any issues I guess Ill do a write up and so no body else has to make my same mistake.

You stated that you have the LS6 valve springs, however, you didn't state which model year. Remember the 2001 LS6 only had 525 lift with not so hot valve springs...the 405 HP LS6 2002 - 2004 yellow springs are the ones you need.

i forget who was asking but straight from the summit mag under LS6 cam and valve springs Production cam for the 2002 LS6 vette' has 218/204 .550/.550 and 117.5 LSA. the stock diameter ls6 valve springs(imm assuming thats the stock spring that they came with ) have a .570 max lift
