FWIW, In my 98 without rod bolts I had 300+ passes at 6400-6600rpm and then 500+ passes at 6800-7000 and never had a problem with it. I pulled the motor and it was still running great. I put Katech rod bolts in it, but upgraded to a 427 so I won't get to run it again.
