Wow welcome to a year ago!! I guess if we're going to bring up a old post we can discuss it again. Checkout the newest additions to our cylinder heads, I think you'll find the PRC heads are really nice. You might also ask Gomer from Birmingham how his PRC LS6 heads flowed on Patriots bench!!
Good lord Jason, could you post a more slanted comparison? Giant cams vs 224's? Aftermarket castings? You must be on the advertising side.
The last link you posted, the guy made 410 with your heads and a 230/236 cam, and the last link for Patriot with the X1 made 407. Very close, and a very similar cam.
I'm sure you're observant enough to realize that I run Patriot (or at least I HOPE you're observant enough) but I'm not defending them.. I'm defending the comparison.
Both of your heads are good budget heads, and that's it. Neither of them would be considered "great" heads by any reputable head porter. But.. you get what you pay for. Do NOT expect these to compete with high end heads, because they won't.

I am a big fan of the Patriots. I run them on my 408 and they flow well for intake cfm and could use some boring for exshaust flow but I have no complaints... I am also a Texas speed fan to cause I am running there 408 short block and Texas Giant Cam... Just would rather save about $1,500 dollars in heads cost for very little to difference hp...

Guys we just revised the Precision Race Components LS6 heads!! Here's a copy of the info:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As most of you guys know we've been working really hard recently to rework all of our cylinder heads to improve power, performance, and value! The LS6 head is the newest cylinder head to go through these revisions. All future LS6 heads will ship with all the new features at NO EXTRA COST!!!
We just finished up the newest revision of the PRC LS6 cylinder head! The new cylinder head features a new smaller intake runner (225cc), new bigger cfm exhaust port, & aftermarket rocker arm clearances!!
The new intake port was reshaped to provide the same great airflow you've come to expect from PRC with a smaller runner for increased velocity & throttle response!
Here's a few pics of the new ls6 intake port. The port in this pic goes 310cfm @ .650 lift!!
The Exhaust Port was also completely revised from top to bottom! The all new exhaust port flows as much as 10cfm more air than the previous port with the same valve size!
Improved airflow, improved features, smaller runners all available at the current special price of $949.99 with stock springs!!!!

What valve brand/sizes do these come with?

Stage 1 LS6 heads feature the stock valves for a bad a$$ budget head. The Stage 2.5 heads can feature either REV or Manley valves
