When you put the timing chain sprocket back on, it will pull forward to where it needs to be.

There is a little extra room there...not to worry.

Thats what I thought.... It just seems to mve further back than the stock one did.... Anyone else??????

Well I guess when I bolt up the cam sprocket it will pull the cam into place. So what stpos the cam and sprocket from "floating a little bit" in the block?

It "floats". The cam plate keeps it from coming too far forward. The chain determines where the cam sprocket rides which in turn controls where the cam resides. A Torrington bearing as found on timing sets like Rollmaster acts as a buffer if the cam sprocket "floats" too far rearward.
