needle bearings... fall down the pushrod holes?
How likely is this? Has anyone who lost their rocker bearings pulled the pushrods and checked around with a magnet pen and actually found the bearings?

it says i shouldnt need to worry about this and that they should all end up in the oil pan.

This just happend to me last week. I posted a thread about it. The motor was"ticking". I pulled off the valve covers to find the needle bearings all surrounding the rocker that popped. I did some reserch and did the same thing you said. I went in with a magnet pen and got all I could. I think its pretty far fetched for the bearings to get down in your motor, however, the only way to find out for sure without taking your heads off is to replace the rockers and fire up the motor. You will definatly hear any bearings in there being smashed between the piston and the valves. Highly unlikely if you noticed the problem and acted on it within a reasonable amount of time.

There is no way a needle bearing will end up in the combustion chamber. Maybe if it got sucked into the PCV hose but what are the chances of that? NONE.
The worst thing that could happen is one could get past the oil pump screen and into the pump, again, not very likely.
Oil may wash them off the tops of the heads into the crankcase, they might get thrown around a bit by the rods on the way down, but they will end up in the oil pan.
