Default is the afr head good for ms4 ???

guysss

my friend has camaro ls1 m6

we installed ms4 cam before 2 months and we found a used afr 205c /62cc head but we are not sure does the head word's very well with the cam or not.

we need advice becauce my friend want to buy a new afr 225cc/65cc head

but we don't know the better

Those heads are some of the BEST on the market. They're a HUGE improvement over stock flow #'s! THe 205's will work fine with the MS4, as long as they're not milled. THen you should double check your piston to valve clearances, as you should anyway w/ that cam.. There was some research done w/ the 205's that showed the same hp/tq gains were about the same as the 225's when the 205's were slightly messaged.

I'll let the more experienced people chime in to give you a better answer.

In the mean time, check this thread out. There's good 205 AFR head info in there.

afr 255????? thought they only came in 205 225 for the ls1?????
AFR's are all around good for any cam

He stated 62cc, so they are milled. Better plan on fly-cutting.

form where I can buy the 205cc /58cc or 57cc I vist the site http://www.airflowresearch.com/ and also I found 225cc/65cc chamber and 205c/66cc

but I confuesd !!! what should I do?which one get more power ?

What you should do is call Air Flow Research and ask to speak to Tony Mamo. He designed those heads and is very helpful. He can tell you which is right for your setup, whether you will need to flycut, etc.

I think Tony's on vacation the next two weeks (coming back east). You can try, but I believe he is out right now. I would wait and discuss with him, he can tell you exactly what you need.
