here are the gains i got with my home ported fast 90/90.In my opinion it was worth it for me.And my cam is not all that big 228/230 571/573 112.Its not like my motor was starving for air.I had a ls6 intake before and a ported stock throttle body.

Everybody keeps referring to the dyno #'s with the FAST setup, but what about track #'s? I've asked this question before, but got no response. I'm not gonna spend $1100 if it isn't gonna make my car faster, I couldn't care less about dyno #'s.

generally more hp=better track time...generally. im going to be doing the intake and exhaust work in the next month or two hopefully, then im going to do the cam and valve train after that, possibly new/machined heads too...so knowing that, do you all think i should step it up to the FAST?

hopefully not going to be close to stock too much longer...

Brads LS1 02Z, let me know how that goes for you...even though its going to be two or three months before it gets that cold...

btw, anyone know anything about putting true duals on a street car? the guy at the exhaust shop told me it wouldnt fit...anyone know if it actually will or not? i was looking at the TSP true dual kit with the dynomax bullets on it...info?

Yeh, I just bought an LS6 intake..

As soon as I get some $$ for some injectors, I'm going to be putting in a set of heads and a new cam..

I guess I'll just run the Ls6 and then later upgrade..

yeah, i was thinking about that, but i just dont want to have to waste the money for the LS6 if im just going to have to replace it later...although they probably wont go down that much in price by the time i upgraded, so i might end up getting the money back out of it, but you also have to deal with the pain of selling it too though, so i dont know if its worth it or not.

did you get the TSP kit or make your own. how do you like that setup? does it drag on stuff really bad or rattle when you go over bumps? sorry for all the questions, but im really interested and they guy at the exhaust shop said it couldnt be done...

also, is your car driven on the street or just down the track, because mine is my dd.

ls6 will do fine until you start getting voer the 400rwhp mark, then the fast may be soemthin to look at depending on your goals. now on a bigger displacement motor fast 90/90 all the way

yeah, im really only looking to get over the 400 rwhp mark, eventually it going to be a drag car, but not for years down the road. but i can always sell the LS6 later on. it might be the way to go for now anyways. saves at least $400, probably more depending on where you get both of them.

Interesting you say that Bad2000z, But here's the deal. Dyno numbers are more constiant than track times. Reason is, there are to many Inconstancies with drag racing. Now with Dyno #'s, if you were making 350RWHP or so you should run at XX.XX time cause you can just plug in the variables and you would be extremely close to how fast you could run. Hope that makes sense to ya bud.

Dude, have you looked at the Forced Induction section? There are MANY high horsepower cars that run slower than many heads and cam cars. Why would my 403rwhp car run the same trap speed as a Procharged or STS car with 500+rwhp? Go take a look, you'll see what I'm talking about.

I always figure that for about every 10rwhp is about a tenth/1mph gain at the track.So with a fast 90 you will gain about 2mph and 2 tenths.
