Default High Compression Motors

Do high compression motors require lower timing?

Default Re: High Compression Motors

I made more power with less timing and more fuel.

I ended up making 475rwhp/ 505rwtq with 12:1 AF and 26 degrees of timing.

I suggest doing what I did. Do a pull with one set of parameters and then change the timing, two degrees up or down, and do this a few times.

I think a big motor needs a fatter AF since it will be under much more load on the track. I think it's a good idea to hit a good number and then fatten up the AF to make it safe.
