thanks guys this is funny cuz the first 3 jaw 8 inch puller i bought from harborfreight broke, after torching the pulley ,hittin it with the air ratchet, and jus plain beatin it. i went back to harbor freight and got another 8inch 3 jaw puller and out came my pulley. now i need another pulley cuz im pretty sure the heat melted some sort of seal that was in there as well as my front cover seal.

this was one of my most frustrating experiences to daye with my car. thank god for beer.

theres your problem. Harbor freight sells nothing but chineese garbage. Their tools are worse than useless because they do more harm than good. Try one of those posilock's they are available at sears also. Do yourself a favor and throw all your harbor freight tools in the trash excepth the screwdrivers which you can use as chisels and other stuff you woulldnt do with real ones.

getting it in is just as fun, we hammered the damn thing for about 20 minutes with a piece of 2x4 inbetween the pulley and hammer, just to make safe we didnt strip the crank
