Default what are your thoughts on a 434 motor?

I am looking at a car that has a 434 6.0 litre motor, and it makes killer power. Is there anything I should know about this kind of motor? What are your thoughts on it?

As long as it's built right with the right parts, you shouldn't have problems. That being said, when you run a motor on ragged edge, there's always the possibility of breakage. What heads and cam are being used? How many miles on it? Was it broke in correctly? Good luck.

How the hell is someone getting 434ci out of a iron block? Ask them what the bore and stroke is, heads, cam, valvetrain. Don't settle for I don't know. If they can't tell you pass. I'd pass anyways unless it's some freakishly good idea.

i'm interested to know on the bore/stroke also. if they used a 4.125" stroke it would have to be bored .090" over.
a .060" is a 427 and i would consider that much overbore leaving the walls pretty thin. hmmmmmm.....

Join the club. I seriously doubt it's a 434. Doing some backwards math I figured you'd have to be running a 4.20 stroke and a 4.050 bore. It's some what believable, but it would be a major oil burner. I think you're being BSed.
