Overheating Problems!!! What can it be ?
Ok guys let me start from the beginning.
About two weeks ago my car overheated while crusing. I pulled over, let it cool down, I then put some anti freeze and some water and it started leaking bad. Turns out the water reservoir had a crack and fluid was just coming out.
I then bought a brand new reservoir from GM and installed it. I then filled it up with fluid and it was good to go.
Now, today I was again just driving and I noticed it overheated. I pulled over and I went to go buy some anti freeze. I then came back and to my surprise the water reservoir was full of water.
I then opened the cap for the radiator and turned my car on and I could see the water in there moving so I know the water pump is working.
Now, My guess is that the fans are not coming on because my car was at like 220-230 and the fans were still not on. My car is all stock with just a GMMG catback.
Any guesses as to what it could be ???
And I also think it might be just a relay for a fan but how can I check them out ?
Thanks!

I wasn't getting the overheat, but I did replace my OEM stat with the Hypertech 160, flushed system completely, and added 50/50 Dex Cool and water. I'm running a constant 190.
I am also running e-fans with the Nelson harness.

If its both of them it may not be your fans though. Check relays, fuses and all wires before you waste your time buying fans.
My fans are both original (9 1/2 years old) and they work perfectly, they rarely fail and last forever.
Also, make sure they come on "low" and "high" settings.
